Watson, the biggest – plus...health and beauty retailer in the world, with over 130 0000 employees, 14,300 stores in 24 markets, perfumeries and drugstores such as Kruidvat, Superdrug or ICI Paris XL. A.S. Watson belongs to an international group: CK Hutchison Holdings, which is based in Hong Kong and operates in various sectors, such as energy, telecommunications, infrastructures and retail.
The history of Marionnaud dates back to 1972, when Bernard Marionnaud opened his first store in France so that men and women could find perfumes, make-up and skincare products all in one convenient location. Today, Marionnaud has over 1,000 stores in 11 countries across Europe, including France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Having said that, one of our most important stores these days is of course our online store, which has been launched in 2013.
At Marionnaud we’re recognized for our expertise in skincare and innovative own brand products, offering a large range of make-up, bath, skincare items and accessories. In 1998, Marionnaud was the first retailer to have developed a loyalty card, which enabled the company to build a very strong and close relationship with its customers, as well as offering them to discover exclusive brands and products.
Marionnaud is strongly committed to developing its employees’ professional skills. For example, in France, Marionnaud has its own “Marionnaud Academy”, which provides both physical and digital trainings for all employees. In 2017, around 78,000 hours of training have been delivered to our employees.
